BIOGRAPHY

Julie is an artist with a degree in education and classroom teaching experience. She worked professionally as a corporate trainer and administrator before transitioning into art full time. She was introduced to wax-based media in 2004 and has made it her primary focus since then. Julie is a Core instructor for R&F Handmade Paints and an Artist Ambassador for Ampersand Art Panels.

 

Julie has taught at Penland School of Craft and teaches workshops nationwide. She is represented by Canary Gallery in Birmingham and Kolman and Reeb Gallery in Minneapolis, which awarded her a grant for their Project Space in 2022. Her abstract work has received numerous awards and can be found in private collections and public spaces. Julie lives with her husband Will in Fairhope, Alabama.
